Dive Theory eLearning is a comprehensive overview of dive physics, dive physiology, dive skills, environmental considerations, dive equipment, and decompression theory and the Recreational Dive Planner (RDP). Each section consists of multimedia instructional material followed by questions to review what you’ve learned. Divemaster, IDC and Course Director candidates may find this course useful to prepare for their exams. Your instructor may choose to waive the dive theory portion of the PADI Divemaster, IDC, or CDTC exams if a candidate has successfully completed Dive Theory eLearning within 12 months. Divers of all levels can take the course for personal enrichment.
How does it work?
After enrolling, you can move through each topic at your own pace and repeat sections any time. The course takes approximately 4 – 6 Virtual class sessions to complete.

What else is required to complete the course?
Completion of Dive Theory online does not result in a certification.
How do you document that you have completed the digital course segment?
You’ll print out an eRecord after finishing your online training and bring it to your selected PADI Dive Center or Resort.
