Come join Get Inspired! and Ocean Gear for an amazing program planned this year with several surprises.  This year we set sail for a 5 day camp and spend 4 of those days at sea doing some of the most amazing diving anywhere in the world.  In addition to living on the boat for our camp, we will travel around Santa Catalina and Santa Barbara Islands.  In Catalina, we will dive the great Pacific Kelp Forests and tour USC’s Wrigley Institute for Environmental Studies as well as spend some time conducting a lab in the Recompression Chamber.  Our time at Santa Barbara Island will allow us to interact with their Pinniped population (Seals and Sea Lions).  This is an experience most people will only dream about.  Your Science Camp includes the following:

• Day 1 has our Introductory Pool session and program Orientation
• 4 Days & 4 Nights about our USCG certified Dive Boat
• Openwater/SCUBA Diver Certification*
• Transportation from Ocean Gear Facility to Pool and Boat
• All Training for both SCUBA Diving and Scientific Diving techniques
• All Course and Certification Materials
• All Basic SCUBA Equipment**
• All Meals
• All Air Fills
• All Staff including:
  • Biologist
  • SCUBA Training Staff
  • Dive Boat Crew
• Science activities  to include:
  • Hyperbaric science

Girl Scout Sponsored Trip date: August 12 - 16, 2012.

You do not need to be a girl scout to attend.  You do; however, need to be female.

Cost:  $1380 – Deposit of $800 due NOW with Balance due June 1, 2012.***

**All divers will be required to purchase their own Boots, Gloves, Dive Light and Underwater Slate.  These items will be purchased on Sunday, July 8 or Sunday, Aug. 12, depending upon your desired trip date, at Ocean Gear when they are issued their equipment.  Any other desired dive equipment can be purchased at that time.

***A minimum of 12 campers is necessary for this event to operate with a maximum of 18 campers allowed.
